A fear of my hair (I had long hair) being contaminated bothered me quite regularly and I would wash it in the sinks at school, restaurants and home a few times a day when the OCD was especially strong. At the start of my OCD, I fought extremely hard to keep my schoolwork up to scratch, despite the fact my OCD was becoming more and more debilitating, and I managed to achieve straight A* grades in my GCSEs.
