Anxiety Disorder News - UPDATE: As Quarterly Profit Slips, Eli Lilly Boosts 2007 Forecast (Nasdaq)

According to Thomson Financial, analysts have been estimating that Eli Lilly would earn $3. Zyprexa sales were under pressure last year due litigation stemming from reports that it could trigger unusual weight gain, and even diabetes, in some patients. The company has also faced expensive litigation for Zyprexa, having settled about 18,000 cases last year, resulting in a fourth-quarter accounting charge of about $500 million. Earlier this year, Eli Lilly acquired partner Icos Corp. Eli Lilly has said it expects the acquisition to begin contributing to earnings in 2008. read more
